Hello,

Just watched well over an hour of your setup/review of this tank. Looks amazing.

Would you recommend this (15g version) tank for a completely new aquarist?

The plantscape seems very fun to me, and after a couple months of tinkering with that I was planning on adding a betta and maybe some schooling fish to this tank.

Is this tank too much for a beginner? Too little? Would love to hear your thoughts.

My budget for total set up and everything is about $300.

Thanks 🙂

I have to say, even though at this time I don’t have the time anymore for tanks. I always found more relaxation and enjoyment in the actual setting up of them and building wet/dry filters. So these videos allowed me that zen time without the hassles or debt 🙂 Thanks for posting them! It was time well spent watching an empty tank transform.

Jaxxon says:

But no heater? Ughhhh I need it for my Stinkin betta he is high maintenance

Bold, curved design. Just like me. I’m sold. Looking into the Fluavl Flex. Eventually I’d like to set up 2 and do an aquarium bridge.

Rosemary Knowles says:

Do you need a airation system to go alang with fluval system. Do i need to have more bubbles

I looked at a couple reviews on Amazon with people putting 3D foam backgrounds in this? Is that a good idea? I impulse purchased the Underwater Treasures Vines and Cave backgrounds already… Just really excited to get into this hobby finally.

P Nat says:

What are the names of the songs you use in this video?  Thanks in advance.

Sharon Martin says:

I just bought one of these at Petsmart last week, except it’s a 9 Gallon.

2. Thank you for posting these vids. I bought the Spec V on a whim because it was on sale for $35, then found your channel. I have learned a thing or two about nano aquascaping thanks to you!

Mohannad Hamza says:

how much that aquarium cost you ??

Clecy Conner says:

Are those one molded piece or is there silicone like traditional aquariums?

Steve Jones says:

Couple questions, I don’t see a CO2 diffuser so what kind of plants are you using and how long are they surviving? Because of first question what oxygen is being supplied to fish?

qTAMp says:

Sorry if you answered this before, what plants would you recommend for this tank?

Josep! says:

New subscriber! Probably watched 10 of your videos in a row already!

I Just ordered this tank after convincing my lady. Bought a Marineland 38 Bow Front Kit for a great deal I think ($82) but she felt it was too big. Went to a Tetra 29 Starter Kit for $112 but still too much… Showed her the Flex 15 and she was okay with that.

My only concerns after doing some research, are how people state that bigger is always better/easier. Also the issues with this particular tank (the high flow, large intake slots, etc.) and how I’d be able to replace any parts I need in the future. (Did I make a poor choice on getting this?)

I’ve been interested in doing a lot of plants and really liked the dwarf puffers I saw in the store. Would this be possible and what else could I put with 1 or 2 puffers?

I’m a beginner but excited and motivated. I want to have an awesome looking and healthy setup. Any advice and help would be much appreciated!

K Habex says:

I HAVE NEW AQUARIUM AND I DIDN’T CYCLE IT I WASHED THE SUBSTRATE AND ADDED 2 PLANTS AND LEFT IT FOR 1 HOUR OR A BIT MORE AND THEN I ADDED ABOUT 10 FISH AND ITS A 15GALLONG TANK AND MY PROBLEM IS THE WATER IS STIL A BIT CLOUDY AFTER 3 HOURS ! DO I REMOVE THE FISH AND CHANGE THE WATER OR WHAT I AM LOST OR WILL IT SETTLE DOWN

Jake isjacob says:

How much?

Pedarsag says:

Fluval makes some great tanks but just small ones. I want to see them make 50g tanks.

majooismajor says:

how long will this aquarium equipment last before it breaks down ? Is the broken equipment easy to replace ?
Also, how will you be able to move the plants and substrate to a new tank ?

Most important question, after the initial tank set up…. how do you upkeep up the tank before setting in the fish ? How much do you do water changes/ how much percentage do you change? Also what nutrients do you add ?

Orlando Angulo says:

Are the stock lights ok for low light plants??

SeagullSkunk says:

I would be worried about that head at 22:00 .. It looks like its eyes are following you Dx

Kenneth Toy says:

Where do you get your dragon stone from?

tony Aburto says:

hi! very cool video, i order this tank and waiting to get deliver, was thinking of using it for salt water corals and fishes, i know it says fresh water only, but, what will i have to change? what u think?

FishDug says:

Great video. We bought two Flex 15 aquariums from Amazon last week (No LFS carried the Flex). When they were delivered one of them contained two plastic ‘auxiliary’ filter port covers/grates that snap onto the existing filter inlet ports. These ‘aux’ grates have much narrower openings. I assume this is a ‘new’ feature of the Flex that will (should) become standard going forward.

D Leal says:

Pump to strong, it keeps blowing my fish away. Any idea how to prevent that??

Cathy Robidoux says:

I love how excited you are. Great video

pecktec says:

Amazon affiliate link in the description. This means if you click on it it helps the show a little bit. Consider it if you have to mail order.

jerry ebner says:
