With nothing but time on my hands waiting for the aquarium to cycle, figured I would do a few product reviews on the equipment on my Nuvo 16.
Today we will take a close look at the Cobalt Neo-Therm heater with tons of pro’s and no cons thus far.
Here’s the link to BRS TV for their demo on how tough this heater really is:

I bought the same one for my 20 gallon long aquarium so far so good
does this have to be fully submerged? thinking about getting one but the chamber in back of my JBJ 45 all in one is only 10 inches deep… the 150w version i believe is 11 inches long.. will the top being out of the water ruin this heater? thanks
Happy new year, i want to ask you about the think behind the heater that is on move,(wave change)how i can find it. thanks, nicholas
Great review, thanks for you honesty: “…dropped it from about 3 feet then stepped on it….” LOL
Why didn’t you put it in the back in one of the Chambers? Not criticizing at all just wondering because I plan on modeling after you
What wattage did you get for the nuvo 16. I want to get that heater too but my nuvo 16 only has about 11-12 gallons of water in it with all my sand and rock. Wasn’t sure if I should get 50w or 75w. Thanks.
Good review, I plan on getting one for my 10 gallon nano and the bigger one for my 55 gallon.
I bought a 25w for my bioOrb Halo and since is round it touches a bit the tank and I have a question if it touches the tank a little bit would it burn it or melt it??? since is not glass is hard acrylic material I’m wondering how hot it would get ??
Been using one in my nano tank for a few weeks now…. and it’s awesome.
Also, it’s the only one, dimension size, that would fit… this one is like 7 inches top to bottom.
VERY reliable, easy to operate, piece of equipment!

how long will take this heater to warm my water up? I have a 2.5 gallon tank.
