BATTERIES
A lot of people have asked me about the best batteries to use with these lights. Here is a quick rundown on Sony NP-F batteries:

The Watson brand is the best. Actually better that the Sony options. You can check them out here: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/buy/watson_NP_F/Ntt/watsonDecemberNP-F/N/0/kw/search/BI/6566/KBID/7173/DFF/d10-v1-t12
They are a little more expensive than other knock off brands, but nothing beats them. If you’re ok with shorter run times, Amazon has tons of brands. Just check out ratings and comments. Also, there are several capacities, thicknesses to consider. NP-F975 (large) NP-F770 (medium) and NP-F550 (Small).

SuperFlashDriver says:

I ended up unscrewing the bottom part of my C216 and broke it. I have one screw in and the rest won’t screw in at all. Luckily it was only $30 and not expensive to replace.

EDIT: I figured out how to re-screw the light stand back on. You have to switch back and fourth between two screws on the diagonal sides of the stand. Screw the top right in, then wait until the bottom left starts to pop up slightly. THEN, screw the bottom left in, and continue to go back and fourth between two scres until both are tighten. Once both of the screws are tighten, you can put the rest of the two screws right into the light stand. Figured it out by playing with the screws, trying to figure out how to do the screws in and out of the stand. It’s stupid thought because you would think you can screw one in and do the same with the other. If you do that, the other screws will slightly pop out no matter how many righty tighty motions you do with your tiny screw driver. Be aware of it when removing the bottom of the Neewer 216 light stand.

gabriel perrault says:

yanderson28 says:

Do you have an overall winner that you would use or like bring out of all these … I know you went into detail if you have certain needs/ wants but is there a balance one you overall would pick out of the bunch… Kind of hard to decide out of 7

Edvin Karimi says:

Great video, took your advice and purchased a Viltrox for my first event video shoot.

Straight From The Heart says:

Thanks for the video! I used your link to grab the Neewer CN 160 and have been extremely happy with it!
I use it mostly to shoot action type videos that require a portable light source. It takes your video making abilities to a whole new level.
It’s an awesome buy. There’s NO reason not to have one!
I’ve had good luck with the inexpensive Neewer products. They’re great entry level gear. and it WORKS!
Every photographer should have/use a reflector in natural light and Neewer makes a good one for about$20.
It will add a really professional look to your photos. FFS – stop using the on camera flash!!

Wayvy Queen says:

Does the higher the CN mean the brighter ?

Andro Analisis says:

I use four CN-160 LED spotlights for my YouTube channel videos and I couldn’t be happier with the result. In fact the model I have is something different from the one you show in the video, especially the part where you put the diffuser and the power regulator on the back and not on the side. The rest is the same. The good news is that in Amazon you can find a pack with two lights, two tripods and filters for about 50 dollars. Congratulations on the video, I thought it was very complete.

Nefew Gaming says:

Which one of these would you recommend for streaming on Twitch?

Digivolt says:

Neewer have 176 Led Lights now which are actually cheaper than the 160 and also offer DC power option, I think they’re a copy of the bestlight 176

raedchen1 says:

that last one is PERFECT for car cockpit shots.

Emerald Earth Yoga says:

What do you mean by daylight only? If it’s nighttime and I have indoor lights on but want to use this to direct more light forward, will it work?
